Capalbio
One of the most evocative destinations, once ground for bandits, the most famous of whom was Domenico Tiburzi, Capalbio is now a classy “buen retiro” vacation spot for managers, politicians, and journalists.
Orbetello
Orbetello, the “City of Water”, is located on a strip of land connecting Monte Argentario with the mainland by an artificial bridge (the dam) that divides the water into two parts, the Laguna di Ponente on the west side and the Laguna di Levante on the east side of the dam.

The Tufa towns: Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano
As you drive along the road 74 “Maremmana”, coming from the direction of Manciano, suddenly after the curve you will see Pitigliano, standing on top of a steep tufa rock and surrounded on three sides by ravines and caves cut into the tufa rocks.
The Etruscan hollowed-out paths (Vie Cave)
They are at least 50 in Pitigliano, Sorano, Sovana, and Vitozza, were kilometers long and tens of meters deep. They were dug out of tufa supposedly by the Etruscans in this area more than 2000 years ago.
The Thermal Baths of Saturnia
Saturnia is part of the city of Manciano, on the Maremma hills that extend over the province of Grosseto. An ancient Etruscan town, with its medieval walls and remains of an old Roman road, Saturnia is known for its hot springs dating back to Roman times and still working today.
Mount Labro and the Giurisdavidic Movement
Mount Labro (1,190 meters above sea level) rises to the south-west side of Mount Amiata. It is part of a natural reserve with limited forest vegetation, although chestnut trees, elms, hazelnut trees, and maples grow in this area.
