About us

We two.

Gloria, with the Orient and the desert in her blood and colours, Giorgio from a northern city and a Sicilian grandfather.
In 1994, we met, packed our bags, mixed our sadness and our desire for happiness, and set off in search of a story of our own to add to the chapters we had written on our own. It took us a long time to find each other, but it took us less time to get here. It was a windy day and the air was sweeping over the hills. We felt it was the place we were looking for.
The year 2000 was coming, for us it was Year Zero.
We tried to realise our project: a small farm in the hills, close enough to the sea to smell it, where we could (re)build a house, redesign the landscape around it and choose to grow old doing something we like.
A long time has passed since then, and we have celebrated twenty years of activity with our closest friends. When we are asked about the ‘history’ of Palmo di Terra, we need photographs of how it used to be, otherwise it is hard to believe how much it has changed. And it changes every day.

We are a dynamic tribe.

There are Giulia, who is working close to Milan and stays with us whenever she can; Lucky, founded in the kennel, still the “puppy” for us even if he has not been for many years. We also have a team of chicken, a large family of tabby cats that get along quite well with our dogs. In the past, some of our cats left after a few months, like many cats do. Maybe one day we will leave, too, with our restlessness, hopes and fears of the new. Like Ulysses’ sailors, “we are ready, where are we going?” – to confess our willingness to leave (again).
In the meantime, come and visit us. We are waiting for you.
